McGregor hasn’t found his happy ending yet, but he wanted everyone to know that Henrico Humane Society saves kitties like him - kitties that often get overlooked in shelters. McGregor has been with us for a few months and is around 7 months old now. He is the sweetest kitten you’ll ever meet. He adores people and would make a great companion.
He sounds perfect, doesn’t he? I bet you’re wondering why a kitten this awesome (and this adorable) is still searching for a forever home. Unfortunately, McGregor tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV). The feline leukemia virus is an infectious disease but one that only affects cats. Even though it cannot be transmitted to humans or dogs or other animals, it scares people, which means that McGregor will likely be with us for awhile until we can find him the loving forever home he deserves.
McGregor hasn’t required a lot of medical care - just some blood tests to make sure he’s doing ok, but in addition to medical care Henrico Humane pays for food, litter, and any other supplies his foster needs. That means Henrico Humane’s investment in McGregor’s future increases every day. But that’s ok - we’re committed to finding him the loving forever home he deserves.
