Pet MLS
Henrico Humane Society, in partnership with Furbish Thrift, supports municipal shelters across Central Virginia. We assist with getting animals vetted, spayed and neutered so they can go home the same day they’re adopted.
We’re helping to promote these animals with our “Pet MLS” page. Similar to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) where homes available for sale through various real estate agencies are listed, the Pet MLS lists animals available for adoption through the various shelters listed below. When you see a dog or cat you’re interested in, use one of the links below to see more photos and get contact info for the shelter.

Animals Benefiting from HHS Shelter Partnerships
Our partnership with Furbish Thrift helps us spay/neuter more shelter animals, preparing them for a faster, healthier path to adoption.
HHS organizes multi-shelter adoption events to showcase animals from throughout the region and reach a wide audience of potential adoptive families.
Our Shelter Squad is an expanding group of dedicated volunteers who walk shelter dogs, cuddle cats, and introduce them to families looking to adopt.
