Lady and her very young pups were recently rescued from a rural area in Clover, VA by a caring group of friends and neighbors. One of them volunteered to foster Lady along with her nursing pups as long as needed and said several times, “Lady was the best mama to her puppies.”
Amanda (photographer at Beloved Pet Photo and one of the rescuers) kindly took photos to post on the HHS site. She also fell in love with Lady and ended up adopting her once all of the puppies had gone to foster families.
A few weeks later, after all of the puppy shots and spays/neuters, the pups were adopted by their foster families (including two of the friends who originally rescued them). It’s hard to resist a puppy! Here are a few of the happy tails and happy faces from Adoption Day!
