Henrico Humane Society spends approximately $75,000 a year in medical expenses for the animals in our care. The majority of donations received go toward offsetting this significant expense.

Meet PJ. He was hit by a car and picked up by a very kind person in the middle of the interstate while others drove around. It is amazing that this tiny dog only suffered a broken pelvis and a dislocated hip. His care has involved a prolonged hospital stay that is costly as well as medications and orthopedic procedures to try correct the dislocated hip. Moxie was picked up by a volunteer as a stray with a broken leg. She had to have her broken leg amputated. It had just been broken too long to save. We took care of her and her surgery so she could find her way to a great home. Your donation helps us to help Moxie and others like her everyday. Thank you for giving!
