2K 4 Paws Dog Walk
Grab your dog and head out to Deep Run park for a day of fun!! All proceeds from the event benefit Henrico Humane Society. Start raising money now for the 2k 4 Paws Dog Walk! A minimum of $25 must be raised for each walker. You can set up your own web page to solicit donations from friends and family.
You could even form a team of co-workers, neighbors, friends, etc. to walk together (each member of the team would need to raise a minimum of $25). Think about it – if there are only 5 people on your team and each of you collects just $25 from four people, that’s $500!!
Walk in honor of a person or pet. Or just walk yourself - you don't need a pet to participate (in fact, dogs available for adoption will be on site so maybe you'll be able to find that special pet to bring home).
Think of all the cookies, wrapping paper and popcorns you've bought from other people - now it's your turn! Our goal for the 2k 4 Paws Dog Walk is to raise $25,000. If each walker is able to raise $100, we'll reach our goal easily! That's a lot of abandoned dogs and cats that will receive love and medical attention until new homes can be found for them!
There will be prizes for the top individual and team fundraisers, and t-shirts will be given to the first 200 to
check-in the day of the event. For any questions about the dog walk or event, click here to email us!
Exercise is great for dogs and people, so plan on bringing your dog to Bark in the Park to have a great time for a good cause!

Fundraising Tips
Instead of using your own money to register for the walk, try raising money the old fashioned way - with fundraisers! At each of these events, consider posting signs that read "All proceeds to benefit Henrico Humane Society". Here are some ideas:
Have a yard sale - collect items from everyone you know and have a yard sale!
Hold a bake sale - get people to bake goodies and sell them in your neighborhood, at work or in front of a grocery store or other place of business.
Sell raffle tickets - get a local business to donate an item or service that you can raffle off. Sell tickets to your friends, family, neighbor, co-worker, etc. Think of restaurants, jewelry stores, sporting events, weekend getaways.... At work, get your boss to give us his/her parking space for a month, or permission to dress casually for a week. Be creative!
Organize a car wash at work, in your neighborhood or at a local gas station. Or maybe a DOG wash?!
These are just a few ideas - use your imagination to come up with ways you and your team can raise money. And don't forget to submit any funds raised to your company's Matching Gift program!! Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers. Good luck!
Team Ideas
